About The NewsWorthy
The NewsWorthy® is a popular daily news podcast all about making it faster, easier and more enjoyable to stay up-to-date with the day’s news!
Pew research found two-thirds of Americans feel news burnout, so we’re on a mission to help people stay informed — without feeling depressed or overwhelmed. We do it with our signature ‘fast, fair, fun’ approach to news:
FAST: Get caught-up in around 10 minutes and get on with your day!
FAIR: Our team provides unbiased, fact-based reporting. We help listeners understand what's happening and share perspectives from a variety of sources — all without shouting pundits, echo chambers, or misinformation.
FUN: With our friendly, casual and conversational tone, we provide a wide variety of stories so the news isn’t only the doom-and-gloom stuff. We keep listeners up-to-date on everything from politics to tech to entertainment and more…
We also provide short interview segments on our weekend 'Special Edition Saturday' segments that offer more in-depth insights about a news-related topic.
Since founder and award-winning broadcast journalist Erica Mandy quit her decade-long career in television news to launch The NewsWorthy in 2017, the show has continued to flourish. Its rapidly growing audience size and millions of downloads led to an investment from PodFund and has garnered attention within the exciting, still-evolving podcast industry.
The NewsWorthy has been listed as a top 25 daily news podcast on Apple Podcasts, named a 'Best Podcast' by Harper's Bazaar, recommended as the best ‘hands-free’ news by Fast Company, listed on Podcast Magazine’s Hot 50 podcast charts, featured in WWD, People Magazine, and more.
While we’ve seen success so far, we’re excited about continuing to grow The NewsWorthy and our rockstar team. We want to take our company to the next level with YOUR help!
