Spring Flooding:  Floodwaters have caused more than $1 billion of damage in the Midwest, mostly in parts of Iowa and Nebraska, and now NOAA says more potentially historic flooding is on the way. People in 25 states are at risk for serious flooding in April and May.

NZ Ban:  Today marks one week since the mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand. People across the country observed the Muslim call to prayer to reflect together. New Zealand’s prime minister also announced a ban on all military-style semi-automatic weapons, assault rifles and high-capacity magazines. Parliament is expected to pass it easily, and the ban should be in place by April 11.

Trump's Free Speech Order:  President Trump signed an executive order instructing colleges to make sure they guarantee free speech for all perspectives -- or risk losing federal funding. Trump cited colleges who have canceled events featuring conservative students or speakers.

Longest Living U.S. President:  As of today, Jimmy Carter is the longest-living U.S. president in history. He’s 94 years and 172 days old, which is one day older than George H.W. Bush when he passed away in November. Carter served as the 39th president from 1978 to 1981.

Facebook Passwords:  Facebook employees apparently had access to hundreds of millions of people’s passwords. The passwords were not properly encrypted, allowing 20,000 Facebook employees to see the plain text passwords stored on Facebook servers. Facebook has fixed the problem and plans to notify up to 600 million users.

Ford Factory:  Ford is planning to build a new plant in Michigan for manufacturing self-driving cars. Ford will also expand an existing factory there to make all-electric vehicles. It's expected to create up to 900 jobs over the next few years.

CVS + CBD:  More CBD products are popping up, and now, some are coming to CVS. CBD is a compound found in marijuana plants that’s getting a lot of buzz (but won’t actually get you buzzed). Infused lotions, sprays and creams will be available in 800 stores in eight different states.

GOT Actress Brain Surgeries:  A popular Game of Thrones cast member is getting personal. Emilia Clarke – who plays Daenerys Targaryen – revealed that she almost died twice. The actress wrote a personal essay in The New Yorker about how she had two aneurysms and multiple brain surgeries, starting after filming season one. She's now fully recovered.

Amy Schumer Talks Autism:  Amy Schumer says she’s trying to break the stigma surrounding autism. She revealed on her new Netflix special that her husband is on the autism spectrum. Then, Schumer told Late Night with Seth Meyers that the diagnosis has been nothing but positive.
