Mueller Vote: House Democrats are expected to vote today to approve subpoenas for the full version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report. At the same time, it seems President Trump is changing his tune about it being released to the public. He now calls it a 'waste of time.' Remember: so far, we've only seen the Attorney General's summary about the report.

Trump Waits to Close Border:  President Trump still says he’s ready to shut down the U.S.-Mexico border if he has to, despite warnings about the possible economic impact. Other top Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, said it would be a financial disaster if the border is closed. For now, the president wants to wait a few days to see if Mexico continues arrests at the border and if Congress makes a deal. Stay tuned.

Brexit Update:  British Prime Minister Theresa May says she’s willing to cross party lines to try to reach a Brexit deal and sit down with the leader of the opposition party. Many believe leaving the EU without a plan for the transition will be chaotic and costly. May has been trying for months to get the thumbs-up on an exit plan she negotiated, but lawmakers have not gone along with it. Now, May also says she'll ask for yet another deadline extension for the UK to leave the EU. For now, it's supposed to go down next week.

NASA Debris:  Astronauts inside the International Space Station are in a little more danger than usual, and NASA is not happy about why. India ran a test last week that used a rocket to shoot down its own satellite, which turned out to be riskier than officials in India claimed. NASA says it counted at least 400 pieces of debris from the test that could put the International Space Station – and its crew of six people – at risk of being hit.

Chicago’s New Mayor:  Former prosecutor Lori Lightfoot is now Chicago’s mayor, making history as the first Black woman to lead the city. It also means Chicago is now the biggest U.S. city to elect an openly gay mayor.

CBD Regulations:  Federal regulators are hinting at the possibility of CBD-infused food and drinks having a legal future with FDA regulation. The hemp-derived cannabis compound doesn’t get you high and may have health benefits. It’s already legal in most states in topical treatments, like lotions, but not in food and drinks. There will be a public hearing in May.

Amazon vs. Walmart:  Amazon and Walmart are taking new steps to compete with each other. First, Walmart says it’ll let customers order groceries using the Google Assistant. Shoppers just say “Hey Google, talk to Walmart,” and then add items to their shopping cart. Meanwhile, Amazon announced more price drops at Whole Foods, which it owns.

Avengers Pre-Sale:  Advanced tickets for Avengers: Endgame broke box office records and the internet – or at least ticketing websites like AMC Theater, Fandango and Regal Cinemas. The companies dealt with technical issues because of the high traffic. The movie hits theaters April 26.

Top Baby Names:  The list of top baby names for 2019 so far shows Posie is the top name for girls, replacing last year’s winner Olivia. For boys, Milo is at the top of the list, replacing Atticus. The list is based on which name pages have received the most of the 11 million views on Nameberry's website.
