Boeing Apology:  For the first time, Boeing’s CEO is admitting that the company’s automated flight system likely played a role in two deadly plane crashes. He said the company is working to fix a software problem and apologized to the victims’ families. It comes after investigators released the preliminary report for the crash last month in Ethiopia.

Auto Tariffs Threat:  President Trump is visiting the southern border and now says he will not close the border for at least another year. He says if Mexico doesn’t do more over the next year to illegal crossings, he’ll implement new tariffs on cars entering the U.S. from Mexico. So far, it’s not clear how Trump would carry out those tariffs since the U.S. agreed last year in a new trade deal that Mexico would be exempt from any auto tariffs.

Jobs Report:  The March jobs report comes out today, and experts say it may determine what the Fed will do next with interest rates. The number of jobs added back in February was shockingly low, but economists say it was likely more of a speed bump than a sign of a major slowdown.

Mormon Church Change:  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – also known as the Mormon Church – will now baptize children of parents who are gay, lesbian or transgender. In 2015, the Church refused to do so until those kids turned 18 and disavowed same-sex relationships. It was definitely controversial, but now the policy has changed.

HPV Vaccine Results:  A new study shows a dramatic drop in cervical disease in Scotland, and researchers says it's thanks to the HPV vaccine given to young girls. HPV is a common sexually-transmitted group of viruses, and some types are linked to cervical cancer. The vaccine has nearly wiped out cases of cervical pre-cancer in young women there since it was introduced ten years ago.

Jeff Bezos Divorce:  Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie have finalized their divorce and its terms. Jeff Bezos will keep control of the company with three-fourths of their shared Amazon stock, including voting control of her shares, too. MacKenzie Bezos’ remaining stake in the company is worth an estimated $36 billion, making her the fourth-richest woman in the world.

Amazon’s Global Internet:  Amazon wants to offer internet to everyone, and plans to do it from space. The company plans to use more than 3,000 satellites to provide the world with internet, especially “unserved and underserved communities.” It will take years for the plan, known as Project Kuiper, to come to life. In the meantime, SpaceX and OneWeb are doing something similar, and both have already launched test satellites.

Amazon’s Earbuds:  One last thing about Amazon: it's planning to release new wireless earbuds that will look and act a lot like Apple’s AirPods. A report says Amazon’s version will have voice-assistant Alexa built in. They're expected to come out as soon as the second half of this year.

Snapchat Features:  Snapchat users will soon be able to send snaps directly from Snapchat to Tinder. It’s part of a new feature called “App Stories,” which allows third-party apps like Tinder and Houseparty to incorporate snapchat stories.

Cat Study:  A new study about cats found they may be ignoring you on purpose. Researchers say most domestic cats can recognize their own names (even when they choose to not come when you call). The study claims to be the first evidence to show cats recognize their names.

Entertainment News:  Today is Kathie Lee Giffords last day on the TODAY Show, so expect a big and emotional sendoff. Also: the Academy of Country Music Awards this weekend will feature some big stars like Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. Reba McEntire will host for the 16th time. The ACM Awards are Sunday at 8:00pm ET on CBS.
