Notre Dame Update:  Hundreds of millions of dollars in donations have poured in to help rebuild and restore the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. Several of the richest families and companies in France have pledged the bulk of the $700 million, including makeup company L’Oréal. The University of Notre Dame in Indiana and Apple are also donating. French President Emmanuel Macron promised to rebuild within five years, though some experts say the repairs could take decades.

Trump’s Second Veto:  President Trump just signed the second veto of his presidency. The House and Senate had passed a resolution to cut off U.S. support to the Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen, but Trump vetoed the bill yesterday, calling the measure “unnecessary” and claiming it would affect U.S. foreign policy. Saudi Arabia hasn’t allowed humanitarian aid into Yemen, and thousands of civilians have died in what the United Nations has called the world’s worst humanitarian catastrophe.

Severe Weather:  More severe weather is on its way, and up to 118 million people could be impacted. The storm will start in parts of the Midwest today. The main threat is large hail, but the area could see tornadoes and damaging winds. Tomorrow the storm will head south, and it will reach the East by Friday.

Measles Ban:  Officials in Rockland County, New York are taking measures to stop measles from spreading. They are banning infected people from public places for up to 21 days. And in Michigan, 38 new measles cases are linked to just one man (who traveled to Michigan from New York).

NFL Contract:  Football player Russell Wilson is now the highest paid player in the NFL. The quarterback just signed a four-year $140 million extension with the Seattle Seahawks. He’ll make around $35 million per season, topping Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Amazon Fake Reviews:  A U.K. consumer advocacy group analyzed a number of tech products on Amazon and found unverified, potentially fake reviews are helping some products stand out. Amazon says it’s investing resources to protect the system, including using automated technology to weed out fake reviews. To spot shady reviews on your own: 1-check the dates posted (all on the same day isn’t a good sign) and 2- use filters to remove unverified buyers.

Subscription Boxes for Kids:  Walmart is the latest to announce a subscription clothing box for kids. The company is partnering with Kidbox to offer personalized seasonal boxes for children. Earlier this month, Rent the Runway announced it’s offering Rent the Runway Kids, at least for girls
