Subpoena Drama Cont'd: House Democrats set a vote for today to determine whether to initiate contempt proceedings against Attorney General William Barr. There’s a chance the proceedings could be postponed or canceled if Democrats make a deal with the Justice Department first. Meanwhile, former White House counsel Don McGahn could also be held in contempt. He’s considered a key witness to Mueller’s report on obstruction of justice and is also not cooperating with a subpoena.

Iran's New Threat: New tension between the U.S. and Iran. Iran's president announced this morning that the country will start building back up its stockpiles of materials for a nuclear reactor unless Europe agrees to new terms for the Iran Nuclear Deal. Here's the thing: the deal Iran wants would mean European nations would have to go against U.S. sanctions on Iran. Remember: President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the Iran Nuclear Deal last year.

Colorado Shooting: An 18-year-old student is dead and several others are hurt after a school shooting in the Denver area. The shooting happened yesterday afternoon at the STEM School Highlands Ranch. Police arrested two people, one has been identified as an 18 year old. This shooting happened just eight miles from Columbine High School, where there was a mass shooting 20 years ago.

Stocks & Trade: The stock market took a big hit yesterday, with the Dow falling nearly 500 points. Trade talks with China are likely to blame, specifically President Trump’s threat to increase tariffs this Friday. China and the U.S. are supposed to continue talks tomorrow.

Uber/Lyft Drivers Strike: Thousands of Uber and Lyft drivers are set to go on strike today. They’re not happy with their pay and working conditions, so to protest, Uber, Lyft and Juno drivers are shutting off their apps and urging riders to do the same. The strike is happening in at least eight cities, including Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. It’s no accident this is happening just before Uber goes public on Friday.

Google's New Tech:  Google announced new privacy options and new tech at its annual event, including its lowest-priced smartphone yet: Pixel 3a for $399. Also, a new incognito mode for Google Maps will stop the company from storing your location, and if you have home-based devices with microphones and cameras, Google is giving you the ability to delete any recordings.

No Triple Crown:  It looks like there won’t be a Triple Crown winner this year – that’s when the same horse wins all three of the biggest races. This year’s Kentucky Derby winner, Country House, will not race in the Preakness Stakes due to being sick.

Disney Movies:  Disney just announced the releases of three new Star Wars movies. They’ll come out every other December starting in 2022. Eight new Marvel movies will come out by 2022. Disney is also planning four new Avatar movies, starting with Avatar 2 in 2021.

GoT Cup Gone: Remember the coffee cup spotted in the latest episode of Game of Thrones? You won't find it anymore. After it went viral, HBO went back to make edits and take it out of the scene. The accidental screen time is worth $2.3 billion, according to experts, who called it a “once in a lifetime” opportunity for Starbucks. HBO called it a mistake.
