Mexican Tariffs: President Trump is targeting Mexico with tariffs to try to stop migrants from crossing the border. He announced a 5% tariff on all Mexican goods coming into the U.S. starting next month. He says that extra tax on imports could reach 25 percent by October. Mexico is America's third-largest trading partner, with more than $345 billion worth of goods imported in 2018.

Reactions to Mueller: President Trump says he thinks former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has a “personal vendetta” against him. Trump made the comment a day after Mueller spoke publicly about his final report for the first time since he was appointed to lead the Russia investigation. Attorney General William Barr said that Mueller could have said more clearly whether or not President Trump broke the law.

Death Penalty Ban: New Hampshire is getting rid of the death penalty. Lawmakers had to override a veto from the governor to make it happen. New Hampshire is the 21st state to ban capital punishment.

Measles Milestone: The number of measles cases in the U.S. is now at the highest it’s been for nearly three decades (since 1992). The CDC says the U.S. may lose its measles elimination status, which was granted in the year 2000. Although a push for more people to get vaccinated is at least doing some good. Fewer people were diagnosed this week than last week.

FDA CBD Hearing: The FDA is taking its first big step to decide whether it’s okay for CBD to go in food, drinks and supplements. It's holding a public hearing today. Now that hemp is legal in the U.S., the CBD that comes from it is legal as well, although the FDA has said CBD still shouldn’t be used in anything that’s ingested. Companies are pressuring the FDA to come up with clear-cut rules since the popularity of CBD has skyrocketed.

JUUL Stores: E-cigarette maker JUUL is thinking about opening its own stores. The stores reportedly won’t sell fruit flavored e-cigarettes and will require customers to be 21 to enter. The company has faced criticism – and even a government investigation – over its popularity among teens.

Sunday Delivery: Starting next year, FedEx will deliver packages seven days a week. The company is responding to growing demand due to online shoppers. The company expects the number of packages sent every day to double in the next six years.

Spelling Bee Octochamps!: This year there are EIGHT co-champions in a record-breaking Scripps National Spelling Bee! The final night of the competition lasted 20 rounds. All eight kids will get a Scripps Cup and $50,000 cash prize.

WorldPride in NY: Millions are expected to head to New York over the next month for dozens of Pride events. This year marks 50 years since the Stonewall riots, which was a turning point in the gay rights movement. WorldPride will start tomorrow in New York and events will run throughout June.

Harry Potter E-Books: New Harry Potter e-books are coming out next month. Four e-books themed around Hogwarts lessons will focus on dark arts, potions, astronomy and magical creatures. Though author J.K. Rowling has made it known there will be no new full books, she wrote new material about the characters and places in the existing Harry Potter stories. You can preorder them now.

Star Wars Land Opens: A Star Wars themed attraction in Disneyland is opening today. It cost about $1 billion to bring “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” to life, making it one of Disney’s largest expansions in the history of its theme parks.
