Listen below:

Tune in weekdays for 10-min daily news roundups:

Today we want to give you a break from the heavier headlines and talk about something fun: entertainment! Specifically, video streaming services. There are so many of them now – it can be tough to keep up with all the options!

We start with an expert’s take on the current state of the so-called ‘streaming wars’ and which subscriptions really deserve your dollars. Jordan Minor leads PCMag’s coverage on video streaming and has written reviews on many of them. He’s here to share his thoughts on each of the top platforms and has a controversial tip for sampling them all while still saving money.

Then, we’re talking more about the future and business side of streaming with entertainment industry lawyer, and former Marvel Studios attorney, Paul Sarker. He gives his take on whether cable tv still has a place, what’s next for where you’ll be watching live sports, the role of movie theaters in the age of streaming, and more.

Guest: Jordan Minor

Jordan Minor leads the coverage on video streaming services for PC Mag. He is an analyst on the PCMag Apps and Gaming team, and he really just wants to use his fancy Northwestern University journalism degree to write about video games.

He hosts The Pop-Off, PCMag's video game show. He was previously the Senior Editor for Geek.com and has also written for The A.V. Club, Kotaku, and Paste Magazine. He is currently working on a book about the history of video games, and he's the reason everything you think you know about Street Sharks is a lie.
