Whistleblower Complaint:
A redacted version of the government whistleblower’s formal complaint about President Trump’s July call with Ukraine’s president is now public. It shows the whistleblower heard from multiple government officials that the president abused his power and there were efforts to "lock down" records of the call. Trump says he never did anything wrong and some are questioning the credibility of the complaint. Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire also testified about the complaint yesterday and called it an "unprecedented" situation.

Boeing Review:
A new report shows Boeing underestimated how chaotic a software failure in the cockpit could be. The NTSB says Boeing believed pilots would get a handle on things if the systems went awry, but transportation officials say the company overestimated how pilots would respond to “potentially confusing warnings in emergency situations.” The company’s Max jets are still grounded around the world as investigators look into two deadly crashes.

U.S. Income Gap:
The income gap between the rich and poor is getting larger, according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The middle of the country is affected the most: places like Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas and Nebraska saw the income gap jump the most. Utah, Alaska, Iowa and the Dakotas have the most income equality.

Record Home Runs & Super Bowl Halftime Show:
The Minnesota Twins just became the first major league team to hit 300 home runs in a season. The Yankees held the previous record. Though football season just started, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are already set to co-headline the Super Bowl halftime show in February.

Uber Changes:
Uber is making some changes, including a four-digit PIN verification system, which is meant to be to verify you’re in the correct car. The app will also combine ride hailing, food delivery and public transit in the app.

DoorDash Data Breach:
DoorDash just confirmed a data breach of nearly 5 million customers, delivery workers and merchants’ info. The company says the breach happened in May and affects people who joined before April 2018. The company says it’s reaching out to impacted users and has added more security.

iPhone Screen Repair:
Apple wants to discourage customers from visiting third-party companies to repair cracked iPhone screens. The new iPhone 11 models come with a screen verification setting. It shouldn’t impact how you use your phone, but it might send warnings from Apple. The company is worried other screens could impact the phone’s performance.

Galaxy Fold:
The $2,000 Samsung Galaxy Fold will go on sale today. The foldable phone was supposed to come out a few months ago, but there were problems with the hinges and screen. Now, Samsung is telling users to use a "light touch" witht he phone. You can pick one up at Best Buy, AT&T or Samsung stores.

McDonald’s Beyond Meat:
McDonald’s is the latest fast food joint to start testing out a meatless burger. The PLT (plant, lettuce, tomato) includes a Beyond Meat plant-based meat patty and will be tested in Canada only, for now.

Bonding Cats:
A new study shows cats can form close bonds with humans, just like dogs do. More than 100 kittens and cats were tested to see how they reacted in unknown places with and without their owners. Researchers hope they can use the data to help shelter cats feel comfortable in new homes.
