Troops Withdrawal:
The White House says the U.S. is pulling troops out of northeastern Syria in what's being called a major change in military policy. The Trump administration says we can't stay there for years, but critics say the U.S. is abandoning Kurdish fighter allies as Turkey plans an assault.

North Korea Talks:
North Korea gave the U.S. an ultimatum: to find a new approach to nuclear talks by the end of this year or negotiations are completely off. The U.S. State Department hopes to talk again in two weeks about a deal.

The unemployment rate hit a new 50 year low in September. A new jobs report says it was down to 3.5%, so U.S. stocks went up after this report. It's also easing fears of a recession in the immediate future.

All-Female Spacewalk:
NASA will give a historic spacewalk another go later this month. It was supposed to happen earlier this year but was cancelled due to spacesuit sizes. Now, astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir are set to be the first all-female team for a spacewalk on October 21st.

PayPal Exits Libra:
PayPal wants to distance itself from Facebook’s planned cryptocurrency, Libra, after putting out a statement saying it wants to focus on its own business. It is the first member to leave the group of companies that initially backed Libra. Stay tuned for whether Libra still has a potential future.

The movie Joker had a record-breaking opening weekend. It's the biggest October launch of all time with $93 million.

Money Monday: Record ATM Fees
The cost to access your own money has hit a record high. A recent Bankrate survey found people are spending an average of $4.72 to withdraw money from an ATM outside their bank’s network. Experts say to avoid fees with ATMs in your bank’s network or use the cash back option at some stores.
