Hurricane Michael: Florida is getting ready for what is now Hurricane Michael. The storm is expected to hit as a Category 3 as soon as tonight or tomorrow on the Panhandle or Big Bend area of northern Florida. Governors in Florida and Alabama have declared states of emergency and are warning this will be a 'monstrous' storm.

Saudi Journalist Missing: President Trump, VP Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have all showed concern this week for a Saudi journalist, who writes forThe Washington Post, and is now missing. He went to the Saudi consulate in Turkey and hasn't been seen since. Turkish officials blame Saudi Arabia. Saudi officials say,it wasn'tus. There's little evidence from anyone.

Swearing-In Ceremony: Today is the first day on the bench for the newest U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. President Trump held a ceremonial (and controversial) swearing-in for Kavanaugh yesterday, where Trump declared Kavanaugh 'innocent" of the sexual misconduct accusations against him. Justice Kavanaugh said he takes the office with "no bitterness."  His critics aren't happy.

Celebrity White House Visit:Expect a celebrity sighting at the White House soon. President Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner will reportedly meet with Kanye West. They're expected to discuss the criminal justice system, like creating job opportunities for former convicts. Remember: Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian West, also met with Trump about prison reform.

Google+ Security Bug: Say goodbye to Google+ (you know, Google's social network that never really become popular). Why? It's part of some privacy changes Google just announced. Turns out, a security bug allowed third-party developers to access 500,000 Google+ users' private data (i.e. name, email, bday) as early as 2015. Google says the issue was fixed in March of this year, and there's no evidence anyone misused the data.

Facebook Hoax: There's a viral Facebook post and message that is trying to trick people into thinking their accounts have been cloned and telling them to forward it to friends. Well, it's not true. It's a hoax. Ignore it.

Facebook Portal: We're getting our first look at Facebook's expected in-home, video-chat devices, called Portal and Portal Plus. They're like smart speakers + a screen and mic. The camera can follow you around the room. Facebook is trying to quiet privacy fears with Portal's camera cover and a button that lets you turn everything off.

Netflix's New Hub: Netflix bought its first production facility in New Mexico and expects to bring $1 billion in production to the state (plus thousands of jobs) over the next 10 years.
