Hurricane Michael: It's expected to hit the Florida Panhandle today as a Category 3 -- nearly Category 4 hurricane. Expect dangerous storm surge, damaging winds and flooding rain. People in the area have rushed to board up homes and stock up on supplies. For some, it's time to get out of town. More than 180,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders.

UN Ambassador Resigns:  There's a shakeup in the Trump administration. UN Ambassador Nikki Haley is resigning at the end of the year. She didn't give much of a reason, other than it's time to take a break and let someone else take over. She and President Trump exchanged praise while they made the announcement together yesterday. The big question now is who will replace her. Trump says he has a short list. Stay tuned.

Amazon Wage Worries: Turns out: not everyone is thrilled about the new minimum wage plan for . Amazon's U.S. employees. Along with the CEO's promise to pay employees at least $15/hour by Nov. 1st, Amazon will also get rid of some bonuses and stock grants. At least some employees say their overall compensation may be less. Amazon says it won't be, and it's for the best.

Snap's Stock Sinks:Snapchat's parent company, Snap, is apparently strapped for cash and may even run out of money by 2020. That's at least what one Wall Street research firm said this week, and it sent the Snap stock falling to an all-time low yesterday.

Millennials Ditch Primary Docs:A new survey found millennials are saying, no thanks,to primary care doctors. Nearly half of 18-29 year olds say they don't have a primary care doc and are instead turning to alternatives, like urgent care. One possible reason? Convenience. They don't want to wait for an appointment.

MLB Playoffs: The final four teams in this year's Major League Baseball postseason are now set. The LA Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers will compete in the NLCS (game 1 is Friday), and the Boston Red Sox will face the Houston Astros in the ALCS (the winner of each best-of-seven series will go on to the World Series).

The Taylor Swift Effect?: Like it or not, celebrities can have an effect on politics. Vote.org says there was a "significant" spike in people registering to vote after Taylor Swift encouraged fans to do so in an Instagram post Sunday. But it was also nearing the voter registration deadline in 19 states, so that may have also contributed.

American Music Awards: Taylor Swift broke the record for the most AMA wins by a female artist when she won 'Artist of the Year' at the award show last night. Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross was the host and there were several performances and tributes. The AMAs are known as the "world's largest fan-voted awards show."

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: The list of 15 nominees is here. It includes Janet Jackson, Radiohead, LL Cool J and Stevie Nicks. You have until December 9th to vote for your favorites. Fan votes will play a part in who actually gets inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
