Hurricane Michael: The storm is now considered a tropical storm, but it's already caused widespread damage, power outages and at least two deaths. Hurricane Michael was a Category 4 (nearly a 5) when it made landfall and is now considered the strongest storm to ever hit the Florida Panhandle. It's also the third most powerful storm to hit the U.S. mainland. Tropical Storm Michael is now moving through other Southeast states and is expected to move offshore Friday.

Chinese Spy:  This is a first. An alleged Chinese spy was arrested in Belgium and handed over to the U.S. to face charges. It's the first time a Chinese government spy has been extradited to the U.S. for a trial.

Stocks Sank: Stocks had their steepest drop within a single day in eight months yesterday. The Dow slid 800 points. Investors are worried about growing tensions with China and rising interest rates.

Trump's Op-Ed:President Trump wrote an opinion article inUSA Today, and he didn't hold back. He slammed Democrats about a possible healthcare plan. Several other media outlets say the article is full of misleading and false statements.

CVS-Aetna Approval: The Justice Department gave the stamp of approval for pharmacy chain CVS to acquire health insurer Aetna. The companies say they'll be able to cut costs with the combined resources. Expect CVS to expand its offerings inside their drugstore clinics. Critics say this hurts competition and could mean more expenses.

Virgin Galactic: Billionaire Richard Branson told CNBC his company will be going to space with a commercial test flight in "weeks, not months," and that he, himself, will go into space in "months and not years." Virgin Galactic wants to be a space tourism company. His competition is Space-X (Elon Musk) and Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos). For now, a (potential) ticket to space is going for $250,000.

Apple Free 'TV' Shows: Apple is apparently prepping a new digital TV service that will provide free, original content to Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV) as well as a paid subscription option for more traditional media companies, like HBO. No official announcement, but reports say to expect it early next year.

AT&T's New Streaming: AT&T's WarnerMedia announced plans for a new video streaming option "anchored around HBO," coming by the end of next year. Remember: AT&T owns HBO since it bought Time Warner.

Snap Originals: Snapchat wants in on streaming video, sort of. Snapchat is launching TV quality, scripted series called, Snap Originals. They'll be about 5-minutes long. Several TV and film producers have signed on for various series, from animation to augmented reality.
