Tropical Storm Michael: Tropical Storm Michael is moving offshore early this morning, so the worst of the storm is over. That said, 1.4 million homes and businesses don't have power, and we're now getting a clearer view of the widespread damage. Mexico Beach, Florida (where the hurricane first made landfall) is pretty much flattened. Homes were turned to rubble. Other areas of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas and Virginia all have flooding and damage. At least six people have died, and that death toll is expected to rise. The National Guard, law enforcement, first responders and volunteers are working hard to search for and rescue survivors and start the recovery process.

Kanye West at the White House: President Trump may be visiting areas damaged by the hurricane next week, but yesterday, he was sitting down with Kanye West. Kanye gave a 10+ minute speech about several things, including gun violence and the futuristic plane he thinks President Trump should be using. He said his hat supporting President Trump makes him feel like "Superman." His speech was called a "stream of consciousness," "entertaining," "bizarre," and a "roller coaster."

Facebook Fake Accounts: Facebook says it deleted 800 fake/spammy pages and accounts that were using political issues as clickbait to make money. The people behind them? Americans (not other countries this time). The accounts pretended to be from both main political parties.

Astronauts' Emergency Landing: An American astronaut and Russian cosmonaut (a Russian astronaut) are "in good spirits" after they had to make an emergency landing. The Russian rocket was on its way to the International Space Station but malfunctioned two minutes into the launch. It sent the crew capsule falling to the ground. The cause is under investigation.

Nobel Peace Prize Donated: One of the recipients of this year's Nobel Peace Prize says she's committing 100% of her $500,000 prize to fight sex crimes. Nadia Murad was a victim herself when she was abducted by ISIS. She was able to escape and became an activist.

Facebook's 3D Photos: Facebook will now let you see - and soon create - 3D photos in your feed. Well, pseudo-3D photos. They're basically pictures that will change perspectives a bit when you move them around with your finger. To create these "3D" photos, you need an iPhone with dual cameras (iPhone 7+, 8+, X, XS).

MLB Playoffs: Today is the start of the Championship Series. On the National League side, it's the LA Dodgers against the Milwaukee Brewers in game one today. Then, tomorrow will be the American League's turn with the Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox. The winner of each best-of-seven series will go on to the World Series later this month.

World's Longest Flight: The world's longest nonstop flight from Singapore to New York is landing this morning. It's nearly 19 hours long on Singapore Airlines. There's no economy class -- just flat-bed business class seats and premium economy seats.
