Annetta Grant is a consumer researcher who studies consumer experience. Her work examines how media shapes consumer culture, and how consumers’ relationships with nature shape environmentally-oriented markets.

Dr. Grant’s work is published in leading journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research and the International Journal of Research in Marketing. Her findings are featured in outlets including The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The New York Times, ABC News, and NPR News. 

Dr. Grant is currently Assistant Professor of Markets, Innovation, and Design at Bucknell University. She holds a PhD and MSc in Marketing from Queen’s University in Canada, and a BBA from Université de Sherbrooke. Dr. Grant has extensive industry experience as a professional marketer at companies including Cirque du Soleil, Travel Alberta, and Shell Canada.

Cara Newhart is an interior designer, DIY Queen, author, and the host of the Make Space Podcast. After losing her dad to cancer and without his contractor expertise to guide her in customizing her first home, she decided to dive in without fear and tackle epic DIY projects.

She taught herself to use power tools, found the confidence to bring her design ideas to life and shares her space transformations with more than 1 million followers on social media.

Now, Cara is on a mission to empower everyday women to take charge of their homes and design spaces they are obsessed with - on their terms.
