Criminal Justice Reform: President Trump is showing his support for a bipartisan bill that some say could bring the most significant changes to the criminal justice system in a generation. It would lower mandatory minimum sentences for some nonviolent drug crimes. Trump hopes it passes Congress by the end of the year. Stay tuned.

News Media vs. Trump: More news organizations are taking CNN's side in the lawsuit against President Trump, including Fox News. A statement from Fox News says "passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized." At least a dozen other news organizations have also shown CNN support. The White House says CNN reporter Jim Acosta was disruptive and the White House has "broad discretion."

Wildfires Latest: The death toll is up to at least 56 and climbing, while at least 130 people are still missing after the devastating "Camp Fire" in Northern California. National Guard troops have joined search teams in recovery efforts.
In both Northern and Southern California affected by fires, hundreds of people are offering up free places to stay through sites like Airbnb, celebrity chefs are feeding first responders and the LA Lakers are donating $100,000 to help.

CMAs: A somber start to the Country Music Awards last night as there was a moment of silence for the victims of the mass shooting in California last week (the shooting was at a country music bar).
Also at the show: Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley hosted the CMAs for the 11th year. Chris Stapleton took home the most awards while Keith Urban won "Entertainer of the Year."

Uber Rewards: Uber is launching its airline-style rewards program in nine cities, with plans to roll it out to the rest of the U.S. in the next few months. You can earn things like $5 credits, upgrades to nicer cars and priority airport pickup. Lyft has also said it'll have a loyalty program but hasn't released details yet.

Airport Rankings: The WSJ's annual ranking of the 20 large airports in the U.S. put Denver International Airport in the top spot. Newark's airport came in last.

Statue of Liberty Torch: The Statue of Liberty's original torch is moving this morning from the storage spot inside the statue's pedestal to a museum nearby. It's 3,600 pounds and stands 16 feet tall. It was replaced with a copper flame covered in 24-karat gold back in 1986.
