Impeachment Vote Delayed:
A vote is set for today after the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee postponed the vote on the two articles of impeachment late last night. The articles of impeachment will likely pass through the House committee today, and the entire House could vote as soon as next week.

Phase One Trade Deal:
The U.S. and China may move forward with a “phase one” trade deal that would cancel the tariffs on Chinese imports set to go into effect this Sunday and ease existing tariffs on Chinese goods. In exchange, China would be expected to buy $50 billion of U.S. agricultural goods in 2020. The deal hasn’t been finalized, but officials are optimistic and stocks have already gone up.

U.K. Election Results:
Jeremy Corbyn will step down as the leader of the Opposition Party after Prime Minister Boris Johnson won yesterday’s snap election. Johnson called for a general election in the hopes of ending the political deadlock over Brexit. Early results show he is expected to win a majority in Parliament. Johnson wants to negotiate a new trade agreement with the E. U. over the next year.

More Democratic debates are coming. There are four more debates on the schedule for next year, and Apple News will co-host one for the first time. The next debate is next Thursday.

Jersey Shooting Investigated As “Domestic Terrorism”:
Investigators are looking into a deadly shooting at a Jewish market on Tuesday as an act of domestic terrorism. The man and woman shooters killed a detective at a cemetery in Jersey City before storming a nearby kosher market. Three people were killed. The suspects died in the ensuing gun battle with police.

Three-Digit Suicide Hotline:
The suicide prevention and mental health hotline is getting a three-digit number. The new 988 number is meant to be easy to remember like 911. The FCC has approved, but it’s still up to public comment. Experts think the new three-digit number will make it easier for people to get help.

Best Meteor Shower:
The final meteor shower of the decade will make an appearance tonight. NASA considers the Geminid meteor shower to be one of the best of the year. You should be able to see it tonight and early tomorrow morning all over the world, though light from the full moon may hide some of the meteors.

MLB Tests for Opioids:
Major League Baseball is changing its drug policy. The league will now start to test for opioids, and players who test positive will be put in a treatment program rather than suspended. The MLB Players Association hopes this will help the national opioid epidemic. The MLB has also taken marijuana off of its list of banned substances.

Former NFL Players Charged:
Ten former NFL players are now charged with fraud. Federal prosecutors say the retired football players were involved in a multi-million dollar scheme making phony claims to the League’s healthcare benefit program. An attorney for some players says they didn’t know their involvement was illegal.

Google Interpreter:
Google’s new “interpreter mode” was launched earlier this year for smart speakers and displays and is now available for phones. Once users download the Google Assistant app, the feature will ick in to translate conversations in real time. It supports 44 languages.

Lyft Rental Cars:
Lyft will now offer car rentals. Users just have to click the key icon in their app. The idea is that you can rent a car on the same app you’d use to grab a ride without dealing with service counters. The rentals have no mileage limits and can be taken for up to two weeks, starting at $35 per day. For now, it’s only available in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

New Hulu Ad for Binge Watchers:
Hulu will start rewarding users who binge watch. Once viewers reach the third episode of a series, Hulu will make the next episode ad-free or give them a special offer from one of its sponsors.
