Saudi Cover Up: The Saudi government has now acknowledged The Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi died at the Saudi consulate in Turkey (after initially denying it), but a top Saudi official says it was a "grave mistake." He said those responsible tried to cover it up, and the Crown Prince didn't know. Many U.S. lawmakers and other countries are not buying it. They say the explanation itself is the cover-up.

Nuclear Weapons Treaty: There's new tension between the U.S. and Russia. President Trump says he plans to pull the U.S. out of the decades-old Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty). It basically says not to test certain nuclear weapons, but President Trump says Russia has been violating the deal for years. Russia denies it and pushed back. Today, a top U.S. official is in Russia to talk it out (or at least try).

Gender Definition Memo: Activists in the LGBTQ community plan to protest outside the White House today because of a leaked memo obtained byThe New York Times. The memo shows the Trump administration is considering specifying the definition of 'gender' as biological (the way you were born), which could impact how certain laws apply to transgender people. It's not policy yet, though.

Healthcare System Hacked: A government system used by insurance agents to sign people up for healthcare plans was apparently hacked. The system is connected to the government site, Healthcare.gov. Some 75,000 people's personal data may have been exposed. The government says it'll notify those impacted, but the main healthcare sign-up site is not impacted.

Free Self-Driving Car Service: You - oranyone- can call a self-driving van with an app or kiosk and take a ride for free! Well, as long as you're in Arlington, Texas. A startup called Drive.ai partnered with the city to launch a pilot program. Self-driving vans (with emergency back-up drivers) are now running routes and stopping at popular destinations around the city.

World Series: We now know the LA Dodgers will be heading to the World Series to face the Boston Red Sox! The last time each team won the World Series? Dodgers = 1988. Red Sox = 2013. This year's series starts tomorrow night...

Selma Blair Diagnosis: Actress Selma Blair announced her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis in an Instagram post over the weekend, but the post was still hopeful and encouraging. She acknowledged her symptoms but also said she laughs and is doing her best. She thanked Netflix for her job and several friends for so much love and support.

Largest Jackpot Ever: There's now more than $2 billion up for grabs this week! There were no winners again for Powerball and Mega Millions, which means both jackpots just increased. The new Mega Millions jackpot is now the largest lottery jackpot in history: $1.6 billion. The drawing is tomorrow (Tuesday).
