Iran Sanctions: Today, tough U.S. sanctions on Iran will be put back in place. They were lifted when the Iran Nuclear Deal was made back in 2015, but President Trump pulled the U.S. out of that deal. Now, the second round of sanctions go into effect. By the way, President Trump tweeted "Sanctions Are Coming" in what appears to be a Game of Thrones-inspired tweet. HBO did not approve.

One Day to Election Day: Tomorrow is Election Day, so expect to hear those final pitches from both parties. Already, President Trump and former President Obama gave dueling speeches at rallies in critical states over the weekend.

Yoga Studio Shooting: Police are investigating if there's any connection between the gunman and a yoga studio in Tallahassee, Florida where he opened fire before killing himself. He killedtwo people-- a faculty member and student at Florida State University. Several others were hurt but should be OK. The shooter posted online videos in the past showing he's misogynistic. He also has a record of harassing women.

New Opioid: The FDA approved a new controversial opioid called Dsuvia. It's about 1,000 times more powerful than morphine and 5-10 times more powerful than Fentanyl, which has led to overdose deaths. The FDA says it approved the drug due to enough precautions taken and a potential use for wounded soldiers on the battlefield. Critics (even within the FDA) worry this will be abused as well and only add to the opioid epidemic in America.

Floyd Mayweather's Mystery: Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather says he's coming out of retirement again to fight an undefeated kickboxer, but they haven't said yet what type of fighting they'll do (boxing, kickboxing, MMA, or something else?). It's happening on New Year's Eve in Tokyo.

Amazon's HQ2: Reports say Crystal City, Virginia (just south of Washington, D.C.) is one of the top finalists for Amazon's second headquarters, although other cities are likely still in the running. An announcement will happen before the end of the year, and some expect it later this month.

'Amazon Day': Amazon is testing "Amazon Day." It's a day of the week Prime members can designate to get all of their packages at once. So, for example, if you choose Friday, and choose 'Amazon Day' at checkout, you'd get all your packages from that week on Friday. Amazon says it's about customer convenience, but it would likely also cut down the company's shipping costs.

TikTok Downloads: TikTok was apparently the most downloaded app in September, with more new downloads than Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat. It's a social platform popular with teens. It offers short videos with catchy songs.

Weekend Box Office: The winner at the box office over the weekend wasBohemian Rhapsody-- the biopic about Freddie Mercury and Queen. It brought in $50 million in North America. Critics aren't thrilled but audiences seem happy.
