Trump Campaign Ad: Some TV networks and a social media platform stopped running a controversial political ad, paid for by the Trump campaign. The commercial tries to link a Mexican immigrant who murdered sheriff's deputies in 2014 with the Central American migrants heading to the U.S. NBC, FOX and Facebook stopped running the commercial after initially allowing it. CNN always refused and called it "racist." President Trump said he doesn't know much about it, but "a lot of things are offensive..."

Utah Mayor's Message:A Utah mayor who deployed to Afghanistan with the National Guard has been killed. His remains return to the U.S. today, and his community is calling him a hero. He was killed by an Afghan security force member in an "insider attack." Maj. Brent Taylor's final Facebook post encouraged everyone to vote and said he hopes "whether the Republicans or the Democrats win, that we all remember that we have far more as Americans that unites us than divides us."

Record Retirement Savings: New numbers from Fidelity show retirement savings are at a record high. The average 401(k) balance is at a record $106,500 at the end of the third quarter.

Amazon HQ2 Update + Free Shipping: A report now says Amazon plans to split its second headquarters across two cities, and an announcement about which two cities is expected soon. Also, Amazon announced free shipping for everyone (not just Prime members) for the holidays. Other stores, like Target, are also offering free shipping for the holiday season.

Facebook Pop-Up Stores: Facebook is getting into retail for the holidays. It just announced pop-up shops in some Macy's stores. It'll feature 100 brands that are "most-loved" on Facebook and Instagram. It's not clear if Facebook's recently released hardware, like the smart display Portal, will also be featured in the shops.

Secret Customer Score: More companies are apparently using what's known as your 'Customer Lifetime Value' or CLV. It's a number to reflect how much money a customer makes a company, and therefore, how well the customer service should be (i.e. how long you'll wait on hold or what a credit card company will offer when you ask to cancel).
